Jim Dye Obituary

Jim Dye, 57, of Wadsworth passed away at his home April 20th, with his family by his side.

Jim was born August 28, 1953 in Akron Ohio to Jack and Virginia Dye. Suffering for over 15 years with MS, Jim always kept a positive spirit and sense of humor. Thru all his pain and setbacks he never gave up. He appreciated everything, if it was just stopping by to talk. He was an inspiration to us all. Jim's love for cars followed him his entire life. He worked as a body man and was co-owner of the ``Biggest Little Car Lot,' Dyes Auto Sales.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Dye. Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Sherry; father, Jack; sisters, Barb (Steve) Burns of Wadsworth, Jackie Abbott and brother-in-law, Robin Abbott of Maryville, Tenn.; nieces, Nikki (Andrew) Nagy and Steph (Michael) Burns; nephews, Chris (Jen) Burns and Cody Abbott; great niece, Brena; great nephews, Cooper and Lincoln Nagy.

Jim has finally won his biggest race and is now in Victory Lane. Calling hours were held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Cox Funeral Home in Wadsworth, Ohio. Private family services will be held at a later date. (ADAMS MASON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 330-535-9186)

Barb & Family,
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
You know how big a part your family played in my growing-up years, from your Dad being my first football coach, with the Redskins,to all of my school years with you and Jimmy.Although Jimmy was a couple of years older than me,our common bond with 'cars' kept us in touch.
Please let your Dad know I'm thinking of him as he endures this tough time, and the rest of your family as well.
