Lonnie James Hill, 71, passed away on January 22, 2018. He wanted to let you know his forwarding address, Heaven! He is now seeing His Savior face-to-face, walking the streets of gold, and singing as loudly as he can! His greatest desire is for you to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection. Jim said to tell you all that he will be waiting for you by the gate!

Jim was born August 23, 1946 in Akron to John and Pauline Hill. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served in communications and cryptology. Following his military service, he continued to serve in law enforcement for nearly 20 years. With his precious wife, Karen, he invested his life loving Jesus and serving others through 30 years in the insurance industry and 50 years in ministry.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, John Hollis Hill; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Lou Wright; and brother, John Paul Hill.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen; daughters, Mandy Lou (Brian) Jacobsen; Tammy (Brandon) Sexton; grandchildren, Skylar, Samuel, Emmaline, Wyatt, Ellie Jean; brother-in-law, Keith (Marla) Wright; mother, Pauline Rinesmith; and sister, Barbara Anderson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Duane Wages, and the staffs at DaVita Dialysis and The Cooper Cancer Center.

Friends may call at First Baptist Church of Barberton, 254 6th St. NW, Barberton, OH. on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Pastors Mike Prebynski and Brandon Sexton officiating. Interment with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Barberton, in memory of Jim.
