Joanne Zuendel Obituary
SILVER LAKE -- Joanne (Von Moos) Zuendel (nee Lowery), 90, passed away on October 24, 2016 in Olmsted Township.
Born in Akron on February 15, 1926 to the late Homer H. and Susana (Tryon) Lowery, Joanne was a 1944 graduate of West High School and from Actual Business College. She was retired from the Terex Division of General Motors and Loral Corporation. Joanne was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husbands, David Von Moos and Edward Zuendel; brothers, Homer L. (Marion), Emrys, Edward (Marjory), and David. She is survived by her daughters, Rae Ann Barr of Toronto, and Melissa (Steven) Portwood; son, Dana K. Von Moos; grandchildren, Amanda, Phillip, and Joel Barr, Dana Rae (Corey) Weisinger, and Sara Portwood; great-granddaughter, Quinn Barr; brother, Irvin (Louise) Lowery of California and sister-in-law, Edith Lowery.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, 11 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
