John G. Byerly, Sr., 55 died Saturday, August 17, 2002.
John was born in Ravenna, Ohio where he worked as manager at Saint GoBain Company in Ravenna, Ohio.
Preceded in death by brother, Ronald Lee Byerly and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by wife of 37 years, Sandy (Deffen baugh) Byerly; mother-in-law, June Deffenbaugh of Ravenna; daugh ters Veronica Byerly, Jenna Byerly and Katelin Byerly of the home; sons; John Byerly, Jr of Mansfield, Paul Byerly of Ravenna and Matthew (Amy) Byerly of College Station, Texas; sisters, Donna (Doug) Peters of Ravenna; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service held at Immaculate Conception Church, Ravenna, Ohio at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Au gust 21, 2002. Calling hours 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna, Ohio. Burial Maple Grove Cemetery, Ravenna, Ohio. (Shorts Funeral Home, 330-296-6858.)

I've known and worked with John for a little over two years at Saint-Gobain. I will miss his pleasant personality and his commitment to the health and safety of the employees at Ravenna. He will be sorely missed by all of us at Saint-Gobain. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that we will keep John and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
