John Penson Obituary
John Penson, 40, was born on October 4, 1975 to John and Ida Penson in Akron, OH. John or Junior as he was known by many was a fun loving person who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was the youngest of seven kids. Being the baby came with special privileges and for John that meant getting whatever he wanted or smooth talking you until he got what he wanted. John had many friends and being so well known he has never met a stranger. He developed a close relationship with his father at a young age you could say they had a bond like brothers. John fathered nine children, he loved them all equally and they loved him back the same sort of like "A Fat Kid Loves Cake".
John is preceded in death by his mother, Ida; grandparents, John and Opaline Penson Sr., Scott and Elizabeth Lane Sr.; siblings, Rosemarie &
Pamela Watkins; aunts and uncles, Bernice Spalding, Evaline Powers, Florida Travis, Osie Lee, and Louis Lane; step-siblings, Shannon Jackson, three step-sisters and step-brother; special cousin, Willie Harris Jr. and close friend, Timothy Pittman (Timmy).
John leaves to cherish his memory, father, John (Patricia) Penson; siblings, Phil (Ivena) Watkins, Patricia (James) Richardson, Angela Watkins, Santonia Penson; children, Daveion, Jashawna Penson, John Penson IV, Javon Penson, John'te Penson, Ja'Niya, Javeon Penson, Jayla Jones, and Devon; Godparents, Mamie Lane and Willie Harris Sr.; one grandchild, Anton Betts; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will recieve friends from 11a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at Lakewood cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 2066 Hackberry Street, Akron., Ohio 44301.

My deepest condolences goes out to the family!! Every time I saw Jr he was in good spirits. Growing up together on the Southwest everyone was one BIG family no matter what. I miss those days and whenever I saw Jr I couldn't help but think of the good old days! Rest in Peace baby boy!
May the family seek GOD for strength and each other for support. I am sad to see him go too but privileged to KNOW him!
