John Trares Obituary

John L. Trares, 88, of Mogadore, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.

He was born March 5, 1922 in Suffield Twp., to Carl P. and Marie C. (Rhodes) Trares. John was a 1940 graduate of Suffield High School. He retired from Lawsons Milk Company. John was a member of St. Joseph Church in Randolph, the Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was an avid card player and gardener. John enjoyed socializing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Florence M. (Luli), whom he married on April 24, 1948; sons, Barney (Coleen) Trares of Suffield, George (Kathi) Trares of Ravenna and Richard (Kim) Trares of Brimfield; daughters, Patricia (Don) Armbruster of Suffield, Judith Fobes of Hartville and Cindy (Darrell) Thevenin of Hartville; twelve grandchildren,; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Trares, Jr. of Suffield and Raymond (Marilyn) Trares of Lisbon; sister, Mary C. Trares of Suffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie (Rhodes) Trares; sisters, Pauline Luli and Joan Belmonte.

Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 2nd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 3rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Drive, Akron, OH 44333 or St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, OH 44260 or Ohio Parkinson's Foundation, Northeast Region, POB 271, Tallmadge, OH 44278-0271.
