I got to know Joe in between selling shoes and owning a bowling alley. His years at Equitable were a joy to behold. He was a groomsman in my wedding. He was president of the Barberton's Business Mens Club, whose sole purpose was to play basketball from 9-noon at Woodford Jr. High then immediately walk across the parking lot to have a low calorie fat free chicken dinner at Belgrade's. Every year for the past 10 years I visited Akron and he was always available for lunch and bullstuff. What a great guy!!!

Joe was such a wonderful man. I was in charge of the homeschool group for bowling and anything I ask he would do it for me. And after I still saw him when I was out and about and he always gave me a big hug. he was a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. We will truly miss him.

To the Fazek family:
I worked with Joe 45 years ago and am continually influenced by his great energy and sense of humor. He was a great competitor but never without grace and integrity.
He will be missed by all who knew him and remembered for a lifetime.

I worked with Joe for many years at MCL and had some of the best and craziest times of my life. Went through many happy times and some sad times too. He was very charismatic with a great sense of humor but could also surprise you with his sensitivity. I made many long time friends because of Joe. I know and need to believe that there is a big reunion going on somewhere in eternity and he and Joey are singing "Dream On" at the top of their lungs."The Old Fazoo" will live on in our hearts for a very long time. "So long Joe and enjoy the quiet because I'll be bringing the tambourine when I get there!"

Fazek Family,
I was friends with Joe Jr. @ BGSU. He gave me many rides home. I can never listen to "Welcome to the Jungle" without tearing up! My mom worked upstairs from the alley for Dr. Patel and introduced us. I am sorry to hear of your loss. I will never forget Mr. Fazek looking me in the eye and yelling at me to see a dr as I have Marfans as well. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Joe will be missed by so many people especially his family. I know all he ever had to do was walk in a room and the place lit up. Of course if Bill was there he would enter singing the Wheels are rolling for Bill. Every friend we loose reminds us of how special every day is. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Know we are thinking about you and keep the memories alive for each other. You know that Joe wants you all to be happy as he lived to make his family and others happy. He can never be replaced but his spirit can be carried forward.
