You never said im leaving, you never said goodbye, you were gone before I knew it, and god only knows why. A million times I needed you, a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place that no one can fill. It broke my heart to lose you, but you didnt go alone. Part of me went with you the day that god took you home....
I seen this poem and thought of you this fathers day. I miss and love you so very much! You were the best father figure i could ever hope for! Love you papa, happy fathers day!

Hi grandpa,
Its been so long since i've heard your voice but i remember it like i just talked to you this morning. Life as you know has taken unexpected turns people have come and gone, but nobody has left a bigger hole than you. I found your dog tags the other day in the basement while trying to get a handle on the mess in the basement. Gram had the basement waterproofed again and so things are no longer as they were. Gram is good, silly as usual and always trying to see the best in everyone. You two were so opposite in that area lol, never really understood how that worked but im starting to. I love you Papaw
ps i know you never met Lili and Cris but watch out for them for me will you! XOXO

Joseph Fidler was legally my grandfather but more my father. He taught me all the things a father should have and helped all the times a father would have. I will miss him more than words can describe. But i know he is in a better place and is and will forever watch over me!

I can remember my Father threw many ways, most of when I was younger and I had a paper route on 25th and 26th street in Barberton, Ohio. Prior to myself and my friend Skip Barnes getting out drivers license he would always help me with the early morning Sunday paper of the Akron Beacon Journal. After we was done we would always go to breakfast and then go to church at St Andrews at the 8:00am service where I also served the church as an acolite for that service with the Rev Knapp. We had many good times then, after I joined the Army was when we started to grow apart and for that I will always be sorry. I had the opportunity many times to spend time with him but I never did and for that I will always be mad at myself about. Many times I was very close but did not want to go and see my parents for I was having fun elsewhere. It hurt me very hard when he had died for I still think of the times that I should have went and seen him but I didn't. I have a picture on my fireplace that has my father and mother and my sister sherry's family taken last year prior to Christmas, I look at it daily and want to cry. I have always looked up to you Father and I will always Love you!!!!!

Uncle Joe was my mother's(Bernice Hudson) baby brother. He was there for her whenever she needed help. He taught her to drive and we spent many summers together and Grandma's house in WV. My mom will miss his very much. He was a friend to my Dad(Allen Hudson) also. He visited and they talked a length and enjoyed meeting in the summer in WV.
