Joseph Kovacich Obituary

Joseph M. 'Joe' Kovacich, of Lexington Township, 58, went into the arms of the Lord after a long battle with cancer December 19, 2009.

Joe was born in Alliance, Ohio, January 12, 1951, to the late Joseph and late Katherine Kovacich. Joe was a 36-year member of the Plasterers & Cement Masons Local 109, Kent Lunker Luggers Bass Club and American Mensa.

Joe is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barb; daughters, Kathee Seiler of Cuyahoga Falls, Jessica Yeargin of Atwater; and son, Jim (Bobbie) Duffy of Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, Jim (Ginger) of West Salem, Bob (Jackie) of Atwater, Bill (Dory) of Alliance, John (Nina) of Atwater, Mike (Chris) of Randolph and Paul (Kim) of Marlboro Township; nine grandchildren and many, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Judy of Tuscon, Ariz. We all will miss him so very much.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Stark County, 3611 Whipple Ave., NW, Suite B, Canton, OH 44718. There will be a 'Celebration of Joe's Life' on Sunday, January 17, 2010. Please join the family for the 11:15 a.m. mass at St. Joe's church in Randolph and dinner immediately following at the K of C Hall next door.

Barb, my sincere sympathy for your loss. I remember Joe always fishing when we used to camp and the long stories he always told at night. Although I will not be able to attend the celebration of Joe's life, my thoughts will be with you. Love, Tami
