Joseph Michael Urbano

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Joseph Michael Urbano, 58, passed quickly on August 26, 2006. His passing was unexpected.

Joseph Urbano was everything to his wife, a proud and nurturing father, and a person of character who inspired others. He was born in Akron, Ohio and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 34 years graduating in 1965 from North High School. He worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and was a dedicated leader. He started in the industry with his father and continued on with his brother Pat, nephew and son. Joe served his country as a corporal in the U. S. Marine Corps. He is a man who believed in serving a higher power.

Preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Dorothy Urbano and brother Pat, he is survived by his wife of 34 years Frieda, their two sons, Burt (Sarah) of Cuyahoga Falls and Matthew, serving in the United States Coast Guard; his brother Michael Urbano of San Diego; sister Toni Wells of Tallmadge; sister-in-law Vicky Urbano of Cuyahoga Falls; nieces and nephews, Joe Urbano, Kelly Urbano-O'Niel, Courtney Urbano, Gina Wells and Christopher Urbano; mother-in-law Mildred Holmes and many friends and family. Joe was the light of his family and the light has gone out.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials to the Church In The Valley, 2241 Everett Rd. Peninsula, Ohio 44333 in his memory.
