Josh cared for my husband after his stoke in the fall of 2009. He was the only medical person to give any hope of a decent recovery for my husband. The neurologist said he couldn't offer any hope. Hope is what Josh gave me and I then pushed my husband and he made a great recovery. Josh showed he really cared about his patients every day. Josh would tell me in the morning "Terry didn't like those boots so I did this" He improvised often to make Terry comfortable. He went that extra mile because he cared. Thank you Josh for caring for my husband and protecting our country. Thank you to Josh's family for the ultimate sacrifice. Please know he made a positive impact on a great many people. I am devestated by his passing and will never forget him.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

I Salute You.

A new star has been added to the celestial ceiling of our world. May we look up at night and recognize the brightest one and remember why it is there and for whom it was created.

War is the very last thing a Service Person really want but, they are the ones willing to sit on the Head of the Spear for those of us at home. Wars have different names but the structure is always the same... we Veterans do understand.

God Bless Capt. Joshua McClimans and may he bring some peace to the ones who love him and those who know him.

Saying I'm sorry will never be enough for there are no words to describe the sorrow I feel for the three of you. Josh(DAD) loved you with all his heart. My heart aches to know your loss is so deep. Josh was an honorable soldier, a good nurse, a great friend but he was best at being your dad. Never forget his love for you and know that his love will always be in your heart. Capt. Joshua McClimans must have been a very fine man. I only knew of him through my wife and daughter both of whom worked with him in civilian life and were shattered by his loss. His sacrifice and that of all other military personnel both humbles and up lifts those of us who shield behind such selfless service. My gratitude and sympathies go to his, and to all those families who bear the grief that allows all of us to live our lives in peace.

RIP Capt Joshua McClimans, I am privileged to have known of you.

Capt. Josh McClimans was one of my 8 year old sons wrestling coaches for Copley. He was a natural with the kids, encouraging and motivating them. His love for his own son was very evident and watching them wrestle together was touching. It was easy to see that he was a devoted dad. We are honored to have met him. He made the ultimate sacrifice for his country and for our freedom. May God Bless his family, our hearts and prayers are with them. The Goble Family - Copley, OH

CPT Josh McClimans was not just a highly qualified health provider, he was an outstanding person. I served with him in Iraq 2004-2005 and was proud to know him on a personal level. He had high energy and compassion for all that was greatly admired. My fondest memories are of his enduring compassion that he shared with those that he delivered care to. Remembering how he stood at the bedside and prayed with others when a soldier was no longer able to be saved. I was touched by him and will remember these fond memories forever. My prayers to Josh's family and all friends. He will be missed but never forgotten.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to CPT Joshua M. McClimans our Brother-in-Arms . To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Joshua. And to Joshua it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Joshua, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,307 military Legionnaire Veterans of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Joshua’s family and loved ones.
