Josif Kondovski Obituary
Josif Kondovski, age 92, born on October 2, 1924 in Yugoslavia, passed away on January 13, 2017 in Akron, Ohio.
Preceded in death by his parents, Spase and Maria Lazaroff, his sister, Olga and brother, Sterijo, he was the beloved father of Alex (Mirjana) and loving grandfather to Helena Marie. Josif was an uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Josif was a graduate of the University of Belgrade School of Medicine and practiced as a Radiologist for many years, including his service at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was an avid reader of history and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations may be made in Josif's name to St. Nikola Orthodox Church, 5305 Massillon Rd., North Canton, OH 44720.
Visitation Friday, January 20th, 9 a.m to 10 a.m., with the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Catavolos Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333. Private Burial at Knollwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.catavolosfuneralhome.com.

It is with great surprise and sadness that we see the news of my cousin Josif's passing on Jan 13. Josif was a very kind and gentle man and always treated our family with consideration and respect. When my father became ill, Josif was very supportive. He provided us with medical advice and was present at my Dad's funeral. Though we come from a large family, only a handful of us reside in North America. Josif and my cousins Sterijo/Jagoda with family and Olga were present at our wedding. A truly wonderful experience! Having him present at both of these times provided us with great comfort and pleasure to my Mom and me. I will always remember this quiet and respectful man with love and kindness. He will be remembered every year on the Saturday of the Souls.
