Kenneth R. Eberly

Kenneth R. Eberly, 84, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 15, 1929 to the late Clarence and Constance Eberly. Ken graduated from South High School in 1947 and was an Army veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He was employed out of high school at Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton, retiring after 39 years service, on July 1, 1986. He was a member of Grace Bible Church and loved all sports, but especially fishing, spending nearly every vacation with family in Canada.

Ken was preceded in death by brothers, Henry and Clarence, Jr. (Bud). He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eloise (nee Scott); sons, Brian and Steven (Theresa) Eberly; daughter, April (Harry) Cameron; grandchildren, Daniel, David, Eric, Jenna and Emma; and sister, Marian (Russell) Moore; he will also be missed by many other relative and friends.

The family would like to thank the Palliative Care and Hospice unit at Summa Barberton Hospital for the compassionate care of our loved one.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619) with Pastor Jerry Harpool officiating.
