Kenneth Hershberger Obituary
Hershberger
Kenneth R. Hershberger, 90, passed away June 20, 2002.
He lived in Tallmadge since 1940, and was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. with 37 years of service in shipping. He was a school bus driver for the Tallmadge Schools for 27 years, a member of the Ap ostolic Faith Assembly in Barberton, a Golden Shieve member of the Tallmadge Grange Farmers Association 2589 for over 50 years, a charter member of Summit County Fair Board, and former 4-H advisor. He received the Litchfield Medal for the best suggestion of the year, and a commendation from Presi dent Roosevelt for helping with the war effort.
Preceded in death by brothers, George, Eli, and Paul, and sisters, Sadie Norman, and Joyce Harris. He is survived by wife of 67 years, Elsie; daughter, Joanne Lewis of Tallmadge; sons, Karl (Janet) of Woodstock, Ohio, Ted (Marlyn) of Rootstown, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many niec es and nephews; brother, Ted; and sisters, Grace Brown, and Mary Parsons.
The funeral service will be Mon day, June 24, at 1 p.m., at the Apostolic Faith Assembly, 1717 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Barberton, with Pastor Nelson Pamer officiat ing. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Eckard Baldwin Fu neral Home, 760 E. Market St. Donations may be made to the Hospice Care Center.
