Kevin was a talented songwriter, musician, and a gentle man. He will be remembered through his musical legacy and missed by many around the world.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Gerber; father, Roger Gerber; and sister Kimberly Edgemon.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Gordon Memorial Home, 1260 Collier Rd., Akron, Ohio 44320 from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 23.

Knew Kevin and his girlfriend Jen, two of the sweetest rockers ever, waaaaaay back in high school on the Lincoln Park scene. Kevin was so kind, passionate about music, and loaded with charisma. Left us so way too soon. Peace and love and comfort to all Kevin's friends and family.

It was with great sadness I heard the news about Kevin's passing. I came to Kevin's music late on, but fell in love with it. Such beautiful music. Because of his music when I joined Facebook I sought him out and he was gracious enough to accept my friend request. We became friends. We had talked about having him come back to play in London sometime this year- I last spoke to Kevin the week before his passing. An absolute gentleman, and a supremely talented singer/songwriter. He will be sorely missed but his legacy with live on through his music. God Bless you Kevin R.I.P. Much love and respect to you and your family and friends. Until we meet again.

That Kevin was a friend of and contributor to the music of my two greatest friends would be enough to endear me to him. The fact that he made such beautiful music of his own sealed that deal in its own right. Though I met him only twice, and in sad circumstances on both occasions, I counted him as a dear friend - his world very different to mine, so faraway yet so close. The outpouring of love, affection and sheer admiration expressed since his passing has been resoundingly reassuring - that it kind of takes the absence of someone from your world to fully appreciate what they meant to it is a little sad but no sadder than realising, as with his sometime cohorts Epic and Nikki, you'll never hear (from) him again. So sorry for your loss. I met Kevin twice in the end of the nineties when he was playing in Europe. Then our paths separated. 16 years later I contacted him via Facebook. That was last April. I was a bit worried how he would react as I hadn't done certain things I had promised. But his reply to my friend request was so beautiful. He just saw the beauty of the reconnection. That's how he was. So sweet and lovely person.

This has been like trying to get over the loss of a close family member. So grateful that I got to tell Kevin that I loved him not a week before he passed. I have told many stories and spilled much of my grief on his facebook page... so I will just say my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all his close friends. He will always be close to my heart and I will do my best to keep his visionary music alive.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin two times. I met him through my sons' playing music with him in Akron. He & I had a long talk one of the times I saw him. My deepest condolences to Kevin's family and friends. Kevin was an amazing guy., Super talented and incredibly nice... a very rare combination in the music world. I am forever blessed with the fact that I got to know him as well as I did after having the pleasure of booking him at my club in Toronto on several occasions. We spent countless hours on the phone talking about life and music when he worked at the record shop on Sundays many years ago.. It was something I looked forward to doing every week. He will be greatly missed. The only bright spot is knowing I will always have his music to remind me how truly great a person he was.
