Linda Motley Obituary
Linda Diane Motley, 68, departed this life April 3, 2019.
She was a lifetime resident to the Akron, OH community. She was a graduate of The University of Akron where she worked in Adult Admissions as a Recruiter and later worked in the Dept. of the Upward Bound Program after retirement. She was also the founder of Wailing Ministries for Women.
Preceded in death by her husband, Elbert, she leaves to cherish her memory, children, Dereck (Ida) Motley, Nicole (Steven Sr.) Gough and Toni Motley; sisters, Toni (Theodore) Lindsey, Brenda Taylor and Michalene Skipper; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, 12:00 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Evangelist Linda Motley and I were in Pastor Dickens Church together at the Mission. She would always take the time to listen and Pray for the situation, she believed in Praying to God for a Breakthrough.she will be missed.

I am very sorry for your loss. I worked in Admissions with Linda. She was a wonderful co-worker. She was a great person to represent the U of A. I retired quite a few years ago and haven't communicated with her but I wanted you to know I thought so much of her. God bless your family as you go through this time.

Prayers and condolences to the family. I met Linda when I first started working at UA. She was always a wonderful encouragement with a quick wit. She always made me smile. Her strong faith and caring spirit is something that I will always cherish.

To the Motley and Foster family, I was sorry to learn of Linda's passing. I remember in school you would see her and Brenda together all the time. These sisters were very close and very nice! We went to Thornton and South High together. I hadn't seen Linda in years, but when I saw her she still had that pretty face and beautiful smile. Praying for you family and love you Brenda.

To Linda's family,May God keep you during this difficult time. I remember Linda when she first worked in Graduate School. She was such a nice person with a great smile. Now she is smiling with Jesus.
