Linda Wilkinson Obituary
Linda Angela (Valentini) Wilkinson, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2014 with her daughter by her side.
Linda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Many things brought her joy; however, she was happiest being with her family. She was an avid collector of cookbooks and was known for her sweet tooth and love of candy. Halloween was one of her favorite holidays. Linda was a lifelong resident of the Akron area and graduated from North High School. She worked several jobs, but her most memorable was working as an elevator operator at First National Tower. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Linda was born on October 29, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Frances Valentini and brother-in-law, Henry Palombo. She is survived by her daughter, Lou Ann (Jeff) Vaughan; grandchildren, Michael, Michelle and Chrissie; sisters, Nina (Joseph) Edminister, Louise Palombo, Marie Valentini, Cathy (Anthony) DeLuca; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
