Loda Sartor Obituary
After seven years at Canal Pointe Nursing Home, Loda went to her home in Heaven on January 3, 2017.
A gentle, loving person, she accepted the terrible trials of dementia and disability.
Loda is survived by her children, Loda May, Mary Ann (Lanny), Betty Lou, and Patty Jane (Bill); grandchildren, Michael (Kit), Rebecca (Scott), and Rob; as well as four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Debra and recently her son, Jim.
A special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Canal Pointe and to Sister Karen O.P., as well as Crossroads Hospice for all of their compassionate care during this long journey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Brown St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685.

You will forever be my Inspiration Grandma. Thank you for being the reason Betty came into this world which gave me not only a wonderful mother, who brought me, my sister, and brother, to join you and resulted in my having two fine sons as well as your gift of my uncle, cousin, aunts.... our family... 100 years making life better for all, and now God and all of the angels rejoice and welcome you home.
