Margaret Michaels Obituary
Margaret L. Michaels, 94, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Born in Creston, Ohio on May 17, 1920 to Charles (Bert) and Mabel Carter, she lived most of her life in the Akron area. She was employed at the Yeager Company department store for 15 years until it closed. She then opened the Connie Shop women's apparel stores which she operated for over 30 years. Margaret enjoyed gardening, traveling and family gatherings. She was a member of both Firestone Park and Coventry AARP chapters, as well as the Hills of Pleasant Valley Garden Club.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack E. Michaels; son, Gary L. Michaels; and granddaughter, Shellie Michaels. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Michaels; daughter-in-law, Gerry (Joseph) Michaels-Seme; granddaughter, Tammy (Jeffrey) Orr; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Robertson; and grandson-in-law, Michael Maag.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with service beginning at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Margaret. I just heard of this sad news and wanted to express my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Michaels' family. I just moved in next to Mrs. Michaels in 2012 and was her new neighbor. My Mom and I also used to shop at The Connie shop for many years. She was a lovely person and I will miss seeing her working in the yard. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I shopped at her store for years and finally met her through friends & family. She was always dressed to the nines including hair, makeup & nails. Always full of fun, love & grace. We will miss you Margaret at all the family gatherings, including nights around the fire pit.
