Marie Green Obituary
Marie L. Green, 89, born January 15, 1919 in Holly Springs, Miss., went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2009.
She married Isiah Green in May 18, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Stinson and Ollie Walker; siblings, Alberta Gray, Melroy Walker, Mack Walker, Hosea Lee Lucky, Ollie Mae Hunter and Ardella McGowan. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Diane (Willie) Lewis and Shirley Turner; four grandchildren, Eric (Elissa) Manley Jr., Adolphus Turner III, Damon Turner and Daniel (Lenora) Lewis; sister, Willie B. Forte of Memphis, Tenn,; brother -in-law, Lee Hunter of Canton, Ohio; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Special thank you to Wyant Woods Care Center, Buch Hall, nurses, Tina, Ruth and Rose,STNA's Tammy, Sonya and Don. Thank you for the loving care of our mother.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. Curtis T. Walker officiating. Friends may visit the chapel from 12 p.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 883 Cordova Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320.

To the Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of transistion. I have many memories of growing up with you all on Marcy street. Mommy and Marie sitting outside gossiping half the night! The friendship our parents shared before we were even born. Ironically, now some of our children are even friends! Cherish the memories you have, for they will always be precious to you. Continue to keep your hands in God's hand, He will never let you go. I've been where you are now, so I know this to be true. May He continue to bless and keep all of you.

I am so sorry to hear about Marie. It has been such a long time that I have spoken to her before her family's loss. For that, I sincerely regret.
