Margie passed away peacefully with her children at her side on November 5, 2007 in Houston, Texas after a short illness.
She was born on May 6, 1935 along with her identical twin sister Mary, in Akron, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Humphrey and her parents, Melby and Emily Huntington. She graduated from Old Trail School and went on to attend Centenary College in Hackensack, New Jersey. She spent most of her life in Akron. She was employed for several years as the Bakery Manager for Acme Supermarkets. The last 12 years she lived with her sister Mary in Houston where they enjoyed the daily challenge of solving crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble in their swimming pool, sitting on the beach in Galveston and taking care of stray animals that showed up on their doorstep. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, aunt and great-aunt who was creative, caring, compassionate, forgiving, selfless and humorous. She will be deeply missed by all.
Margie is survived by her children, Lynn Byerly and husband, Kevin, Russ Hagy, John Hagy and wife, Laurie and Lisa Triscari and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Jason and Nicole Byerly, Megan and Kyle Hagy and Lexi and Jack Triscari; sisters, Mary Pritchard and Ann Loughry; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Margie's life was held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in Sugar Land, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margie's honor to Colon Cancer Alliance, 5411 N. University Dr., Suite 202, Coral Springs, FL 33067. Lynn and Russ,
I'll always remember your mother looking for four leaf clovers when we were kids growing up on Artman and Marlowe. I still think of her when I see a four leaf clover, and smile.
