STOW- Marlene Kay Hanke, 65, died November 23, 2006.
Born in Solon, she was a graduate of Solon High School and a Stow resident for 35 years. Marlene never met a stranger. She was a best friend to her husband and many others who knew her.
Preceded in death by parents Robert and Jean Marek and brother Glenn Marek, she is survived by her husband of 26 years, Paul; daughters Sharon (Jeff) Archer of Cuyahoga Falls, Laurie (Mark) Wheeler of Roswell, Ga., Julie (R. Barrie) Ainscow of Manchester, England, Michelle Feher of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons Kevin (Mary) Hanke of Columbus, David (Laurie) of Cuyahoga Falls, Vince (Loraine) Hanke of Akron, 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters Edith (Clyde) Knowles of Solon, Alice (Paul) Cellura of Independence, Joan (Joe) Otto of Chesterland, brothers-in-law Boyd (Wanda) Hanke of Kentucky, Jim (Connie) Hanke of Ga.; sisters-in-law Marge Marek of Solon, Lois (Mike) Hall of Kentucky; and special niece Karen Knowles of Fairfield.
Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Wednesday at 10 a.m.
