Marvel Durant Obituary
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Durant (in 2001), Marvel is survived by her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" and son-in-law, Bill Wallet of Marshallville, Ohio; grandsons, Eric Robert (Amy) Wallet of Tega Cay, S. Carolina and Chad Curtis (Sara) Wallet of El Paso, Texas; great-grandchildren, Curtis, Haley and Noah; along with many other family members and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Green View Inn, Green, Ohio, Doylestown Health Care Center and Cross Roads Hospice for the loving care and support Marvel and her family received.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with Pastor Tina Nees officiating. Burial will take place at Nova Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Durant Family, It has been many, many years since I last saw Mrs. Durant. I met her in 1974 when I began my nursing career at BCH. She was a role model and mentor and a very gentle woman...someone we could all aspire to be like. She touched many lives, in a good and kind way not only through nursing but by "being" a nurse. My sympathy to you at the loss of a fine woman.

I am truly blessed to have known such a wonderful person. Marvel will be missed by a lot of people. I will miss her smile, and her way of making everyone feel good about themselves. I am sorry for your loss Becky. Just know that I am thinking about you at this hard time. I enjoyed taking care of your mom. She taught me a lot.

To the Durant Family,I'm very sorry for the passing of your mother,grandmother,and great garandmother.I knew Mrs.Durant from church,but also as a nursing supervisor at Barberton Citizens Hospital when I started working in the Radiology department in 1974.She was always a very kind caring person.You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.Richard Miller Barberton,Ohio
