Matt - It's going to be 6 yrs this yr since you went home to God and I still miss you so much. It's been a hard 6 yrs not hearing your voice, seeing your immaculate holiday decorations and listening to your infectious laugh.
I still think about you everyday and even catch myself at times going to call you when I need to tell you something.

My dear son how much I do miss you. It's been a year already. Some ways it feels like years that I have seen you and other ways it just feels like you just passed away. I love you so much and I often cry because I miss you. You were my best buddy that I could say anything to and you were always right there for me. Sometimes it's so hard to believe you're gone and I won't see you, but in my heart you'll always be there. I love you Matthew with all my heart. Love you always , Mom

Oh, Matt. Our friendship was far too short. I will miss you and all the times we chatted and laughed. You always showed such youthful exuberance for everything you did and were the kind hearted individual everyone wanted to be around. Our hearts are heavy and upset at the passing of our neighbor/friend Matt. We will and do miss him terribly. Matt was the heart of our neighborhood, always helping others whenever he could. I'll miss him decorating for Christmas and Halloween which was HIS holiday. Matt- the world is certainly a little more lonely without you here. You were the greatest cousin anyone could dream of. Your laughter, sense of humor, silliness, big heart, intelligence and your ability to be you no matter what anyone else thought, all made you the unique and special person you are. There's no one out there that even comes close to you. I already miss our talks, your laugh, everything about you. I will be there to say goodbye for now. You were such an amazing, special person and the world truly is a more sad place with your absence. I still can't believe you are gone and maybe you aren't here physically but you are here in my heart and my thoughts. I'm sure you are in the hearts of many people whose lives you've brightened by getting to know you. There were so many wonderful qualities to you. I will never forget your sense of humor and your contagious laugh. Whenever we got together, which was unfortunately never enough, you always made me laugh. Thank you for that. ♥ I'm so sorry I can't go to your funeral to say goodbye; I'm torn up about it and I wish I could go. I would like to make a trip to say goodbye later when my health is better. I'd like to think it's just a temporary goodbye because we'll see each other in Heaven. I love you and I will miss you my sweet cousin!

I didn't know Matt, other than seeing him at giant eagle and my kids always asked to hit up his house first for trick or treating because he always gave the best candy. It was hard to tell the children of his passing because they just saw think on trick or treat night :( rest on high

Where to even start. You were such a young babies face boy when I meet you and I have watched you grew into the man you had become.
