Michael Bond Obituary

Michael L. Bond

(Mickey)

Michael L. Bond, 49, passed away suddenly on Jan. 29, 2003.

Michael (Mickey) was an avid fisher and hunter, enjoyed these activities quite often with his good buddy, Henry, and loved the out doors. He will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him, and had the love and compassion that no one could resist. He would help anyone if he could and because of that he "adopted" many children outside his circle. Although he is no longer with us as a person, his love and memories will forever be in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff. He is survived by his wife, Melody; son, Chris (Candi) Wilson; daughters, Sonnia Atkinson (Bryan), JoAnne Atkinson (Bernie); brothers, Richard (Sandy) and Jim; sister, Sue (Jim) Cook; three nephews, two nieces, one great-niece; six grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Adams Mason Memorial Chapel, 791 E. Market St., Akron. (Adams Mason Memorial Chapel,

330-535-9186.)

Dear Bondo, You are missed more than words can express. You were such an important part of so many people's lives , that we are all having a difficult time moving on. But , together, we are trying. We remember all of the good times, the special moments, and the way you lit up our lives. Your own little ways, the places you used to go, the things you did- we remember. Fishing on springfield lake at night, you bbq ing chicken and ribs on an open flame, comming back from hunting with that deer you hung off the old cherry tree in the back yard, telling dirty jokes, sitting on the front porch watching the thunder storms, watching the warriors movie, listening to all the old tapes of your favorite songs, trashin, playing nintendo and playstation, and most of all loving each and everyone of us.The way you loved Mom for 23 years, the way you loved Chris ,how proud you were of him and how your spirits lifted every time you two were together, how much you loved and cared for JoAnne and Sonnia likethey were your own blood, and how wonderfull you were with Tyler- a world class grandpa as you were to all of the grandkids.Friends old and new, family, loved ones, adopted children like myself- we miss you and love you. We are keeping you in our hearts forever.Much Love SarahBella

Dear Chris,

I was so sad to hear of the death of your dad. I never knew Mickey personally, but I feel like I knew him through the words of his only son. I hope you can find some comfort and peace in the memories you have, and in knowing that the best part of any parent lives on forever in their child. Know that your love for him keeps him with you always. You and Candi are in my thoughts, and prayers. If you need anything we're only a phone call away.

Chris,

You do not know me,this is Courtneys mom, My heart aches with yours,I lost my dad in May of last year. Seems like yesterday, only happier thoughts now a days.

I think of all the good, funny and exciting times. This always helps me when I'm lonely for him. This may help you as time goes by. He may be your guardian angel hanging out with you right now. I think my dad works overtime watching out for me,He knows I need more help now because he sees all this perfect child does.ha ha ha

God Bless You and keep your chin up,cause that is also where your eyes are focused. love always

Chris this past May my grandfather pasted away, and I can't describe the pain and heartache I felt . It was one of the hardest thing's I've ever had to face in my life. The one person in the world that was the meanest, rootinest, old fart's around. It's very hard when you get lonley and expect to see him come through the door and you realize that he can't. Honey I know how you feel! The one thing you need to do is just remember as time passes it get's easier and easier. Keep your head up and smile on your face so when you feel lonely you can look up at him and know he's still there.

Chris,

My heart goes out to you at this time. I have shared your pain and sorrow in the last six days. You lost your father and your friend, I lost a special person from my past, he was my first love and gave me you, a son I cherish each and every day. I wish I could ease the pain that you feel, but only time will be able to do that. It is something you will never get over, but will get through day by day.

Melody & family:

It has been alot of years, yes I know, however: when I read of this I was in shock. I will always remember Mickey, sometimes I thought he had became a fixture at my house :) At this time I want to express my sorrow to all of you, and please know I have you in my thoughts and prayers. As time goes by I hope that you will find comfort from the memories that he has given you. Please take care and again, remember that you and Mickey are remembered and thought about. Cheryl Meadows
