Paul Gregg Obituary

Paul Arthur Gregg

NEW FRANKLIN -- Paul Arthur Gregg, 85, noted railroad modeler and hobby enthusiast, died peacefully in hospice December 19, 2012 surrounded by loving family at his side.

Born 1927 in Coal Center, Pa. to parents, Thomas and Amelia Gregg, he was a graduate of Springfield High School, a U.S. Navy veteran and long time employee of Ohio Bell/AT&T.

He is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Ann (Dabel) son, Mark, daughter, Lori Ann (Denny) Earnesberger-Pounds. The absolute loves of his life, his grandsons, Brandon Paul, Bryant William and Stephen Gregg Earnesberger, his dogs Lilly, Mr. Pooch, Bridget and McKensie.

His pleasures were always driving new cars, the home that he built, his John Deere and the many friends with whom he hobbied. A perpetual tinkerer, he also enjoyed helping neighbors, be it lawn care or just to give a hand. He also enjoyed retirement delivering flowers for local florists Herwick's and Flowers by Dick. He will be missed by many!

Preceded in death by his parents and sister Catherine, long friend Don Smith and mother-in-law Mildred Cooper, he leaves sister Romain (Charles) Pritt and brother James (Naomi) Gregg of Akron. In-laws, Karen (Fred) Elrod and Ray Anne Dabel, many nieces and nephews. Special friends Tom and Eunice Lautenschlager (and family) and hobby buddy Larry Macko. His good friend Mindy preceded him.

Cremation has already taken place and interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date with family and friends present. A future celebration of his life to come.

Please remember to support all our pet friends in his honor.
