Paul Steiner Obituary

Paul L. Steiner

Paul Steiner of Uniontown ended his courageous battle with cancer on April 8th, 2017 at the age of 61.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years and best friend, Terri (Andrews) Steiner; son, Andy Steiner; daughter, Katie (Mike) Dougherty; his mother, Regina Steiner; three of the greatest brothers a man could ask for, Mike (Beth) Steiner, Matt (Lynn) Steiner and John (Carol) Steiner; nieces, cousins, many loving friends, loyal canine, Oscar Meyer Weiner Dog; and his two grandchildren, Sam and Ava Dougherty, his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his father, George Steiner.

Paul grew up in Ellet and was employed by Goodyear for almost 40 years. He spent his spare time golfing, visiting the casino with his wife, and spending countless hours playing with his grandchildren; because being "Po" was his favorite job. Paul was a devoted husband and dedicated father. He was the light of his family; never missed a gymnastics meet or a baseball game; he was his children's biggest fan and his family's greatest hero. Paul was always a friend to anyone in need and would give you the shirt off of his back, or the last cold beer in his cooler. He could make you smile on your worst day, even on his last. He never wavered, never faltered, never asked why, and was the strength of his family until the very end.

A Memorial gathering and visitation will be held at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd., Uniontown, Ohio 44685 on Wednesday, April 12th from 4 to 8 p.m. as a celebration of life.

Paul's family would like to thank the compassionate staff and caretakers at Summa Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for the future education of his grandchildren. (City of Green Chapel)

To Paul's family,

I knew Paul when we were kids--too many years ago to count. In any group, he was the boy having the most fun. You noticed Paul no matter how big a crowd he was in--he had that smile and twinkle in his eyes. Steiny always displayed the most heart, and in reading his obituary, I know he never lost any of these qualities.God bless and keep you all.

Paul was an outstanding and energetic member of the GBMS and well known by our dealer community. His professionalism and dedication partnered with a sharp sense of humor was something I deeply valued and appreciated. Paul kept fighting throughout and each time I spoke with him I was humbled by his energy and positivity. I wish the best to his family, friends and co-workers who all got to know Paul so very well.

Paul always placed others before himself. He was so proud of his family and grandchildren. He bragged on them so much it feels like I know them myself.

April 11, 2017

Even when he wasn't feeling the greatest, the first thing he would worry about is how you were doing and what he could do to help you. Paul will be greatly missed.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

April 11, 2017

Dear Terri, Andy and Katie,

Doug and I extend our deepest sympathy to your entire family. Paul was a man of character and integrity; he led by example. His words meant something; he always put others before himself. We feel privileged that we could share many years together raising our kids in the same community. We have wonderful memories and we especially remember Paul for the kindnesses and the love he always showed to Meredith.

May God bless all of you and give you peace as you navigate the days ahead.

With deepest sympathy,
Buffe Cole
