Raemon Charles Obituary
Raemon Q. Charles, 29, went home to be with the Lord May 20, 2009 at Akron General Medical Center.
He was a lifetime resident of this community and was a member of Zion Temple Baptist Church.
He is survived by son, Raemon Jr.; stepdaughters, Taeja and Tyezhe; father, Richmond Charles, Jr.; mother, Loretta Charles, all of Akron; brother, Richmond (Amy) Charles III of Bristol, Conn.; sister, Rachel Elizabeth Charles of Akron; grandmother, Delores Ragland of Stevenson, Ala.; fiancee, Tyesha Logan of Akron; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 12 Noon at Zion Temple Baptist Church, 515 Ardella Ave., with Pastor Tony Ward officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 495 Fritch Ave., Akron 44314. (SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO RHODEN MEMORIAL HOME, 330-724-1201.)

I met Raemon while in Upward Bound. He was always upbeat, charismatic, and a warm person to be around. He also took me to my first homecoming dance. I was deeply saddened to hear that he has left us and my prayers go out to his entire family. Raemon, thank you for making me laugh and smile. R.I.P.

I am 15 yrs old. I knew Mr.Rae since i was about 9 or 10. Mr.Rae was my camp counsler for the YMCA and came to my school everyday to watch me while my mommy was at work. Me and Mr.Rae had a very strong relationship and when i heard the news about him passing just broke my heart. I start crying because it was so sudden and unexpected. There will never be another like him and he will be missed by sooo many!!

Dear Charles Family:
There isn't any way to prepare for the sudden,untimely loss of a young person so full of life.
[Mr.Rae] as the kids affectionately called him at summer camp.Was a fun,warm and supportive co-worker. we shared some laughs and good times. It's just much too soon.He was supposed to see his children grow up.Even those of us who were not related to him were touched by his caring.
The bible has really comforting good news at Re.21:3,4 our Grand Creator JEHOVAH GOD is going to so completely fix things, even death will be no more.There is giong to be a resurrection-Acts24:15. JESUS gave proof of this by the power, given to him by his father.To be able to perform this miracle many times.

I was shocked to hear the news of Raemon's untimely passing. After reading all of the entries in this guest book all I can say is WOW! It is a testament to us all that the life we live does make a difference and an impact on somebody. As a parent we often think will my child turn out to be a good person from these entries Aunt Ann you definitely did your job in raising him right. It saddens me to think of the pain you must feel as a mother to have to lose a child so young. It also saddens me that a son will grow up without a wonderful father, but you will make it Red. To Aunt Ann, Red and the rest of the family God WILL give you the strength to get through this and He is there to hear & listen to your every cry and concern. God is ABLE and there will come a day where less tears will fall and a lot less sadness will be felt. May God continue to keep you and bless you all.

Even though we were not as fortunate as some to have known Rae for years and years, he truley did touch our lives. He was a wonderful friend and person. Several years have passed since I spoke with Rae. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, as well as the fact that we haven't kept in touch. Rae and I worked together at Firestone. We always laughed when we were together. A bunch of us had went to a haunted house up in Painesville one Halloween. I still chuckle when I remember Rae getting scared when a monster jumped out at him, he was almost on the floor. The last time I seen Rae we went to dinner at Applebee's together. My life had taken a turn for the worst, and we sat there for several hours and just talked and laughed and joked. I never got to tell him thank you, it was just the medicine that I needed at the time. Thank you Rae, I love you brother and will think of you fondly.

It sadden me deeply to hear of the passing of Raemon. He was such a caring, cheerful, friendly, and out-going man. He had friends everywhere he went. He was truly my other brother, as we called each other. It was unfortanate that we did not keep in touch after high school graduation. Raemon and my daughter went to Findley, Jennings and North together. I will never forget his smile, or how he always stood out for being so polite and kind. I remember making a special effort when the class had snacks to bring him something that he could eat that would not impact his health. My daughter and the other kids would be furious because they thought he was getting special treatment. And he was, but he never gloated. He always said thank you and I knew he appreciated such a small effort upon my part. Please know that he has touched so many lives, and I pray that reading these kind words will touch your hearts as you take this time to deal with your loss.

I met Raemon when I was in kindergarten. He was such a sweet and loving person. As we progressed into our teenage and adult lives, he still was so kind and someone that lit up the room with his smile. My mother and I were saddened to hear of his passing. Raemon was one of those people everyone wanted to be around. He had an infectious attitude, one that always was about having a good time and being happy. I'm so sorry for your loss Loretta. There are no words of comfort or sympathy adequate at a time like this. I pray that God strengthens you, comforts you and gives you peace at this very difficult time. Know that you'll be with him again and until then cherish his memory and let others support you. I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS...I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH RAEMON AND HE WAS A GREAT PERSON THAT EVERYONE LOVED. I AM SO SORRY HIS LIFE WAS CUT SHORT...WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU RAEMON!!!!
