Kessler

Raymond (Amos) Kessler, 64, left this life on July 20, 2002.

He was born in Hico, W. Va., served in the U.S. Army, and lived in Canal Fulton most of his adult life. He retired from Reiter Dairy in 1994. Loved by many, respected by all, Amos was a perfectionist in restoring his prize-winning '57 Chevy and his John Deere tractor. A walk ing history book, he loved NASCAR racing and going to air shows. He valued his re sponsibilities and gave his unfailing support to those who needed him.

Amos is survived by his wife, Merrillie, and his beloved dachshund, Otis. Also surviving are his mother, Edith of Canal Fulton; sister, Barbara (Mike) Hodgkinson of Edinburg; brother, Charlie (Jane) of Manchester; mother-in-law, Margaret Hagenbush of Akron; sister-in-law, Lenora (Don) Adams of Moga dore; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and several very special friends.

Memorial services, 3 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry Street (Route 93), Canal Fulton, Ohio, with Dr. G. Hazlett officiating. NO FLOWERS. If a memorial is desired, please donate to our local dachshund rescue organi zation: Good Dogs, 909 Admore Dr., Kent, OH 44240, or to the charity of your choice. (Swigart- Easterling, 330-854-2356.)
