Richard Siebert Obituary

Richard "Dick" Siebert, 80, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's and a short battle with COVID-19 on December 5th. Dick was born in Spring Valley, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He spent the rest of his life in the Akron area (Copley and Doylestown). Dick was a lifelong Cavs, Indians and Browns Fan, who loved fishing, ping pong, smooth jazz, leading the Goodyear & Roadway Corporate Challenge Tug-O-War Teams, helping with his son's Dj business and helping with home improvement projects for all his children regardless of how far he had to travel. He loved volunteering with the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Council and fish fry's. Dick was well respected and well liked in his Human Resource positions at both Goodyear & Roadway! Dick enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his old man strength, driving the Zamboni at Lowe's, volunteering to make toys for the kids at Children's Hospital, wheelbarrow rides, his smile, and loyalty to his family and faith. Dick is survived by his wife, Emily; children, Rich (Amy) Siebert, Mary (Dave) Hulsman, Wendy (Ruben) Ortiz, and Jennifer McCool. He is a proud grandfather (Gido) to Jack, Grant, Drew, Madison, Ryan, Megan, Colin, Emmi, Luke, Marcus, Maddie and Addi. He's also survived by sisters, MaryAnn (Ruben) Molina, Kathy Meger, and brother, Jim Siebert. The family would like to thank all the health care professionals from Brookdale Montrose and The Sanctuary of Medina for the wonderful care they provided the past 5 years. Out of concern for the health and well-being of the family, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held THURSDAY December 10th at Guardian Angels Catholic Church with Father Christopher Weber officiating. Interment at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Doylestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dick's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
