Robert Becher Obituary
Born in Columbus, Ohio, he resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 60 years. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1941 with a degree in Business Administration and dedicated 42 years of his working life to The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was an avid bowler and a loyal Buckeye fan. A long-time member of Grandview United Methodist Church, he served in many official capacities and enjoyed singing in the chancel choir.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty; sisters, Dorothy Ketcham and Joan Manley; he is survived by Alice, his wife of 34 years; daughters, Barb Miles of San Diego, Calif., and Bev (Charley) Carter of Columbus, Ohio; son, Bob (Chris) Becher of Granville, Ohio; stepchildren, Susan (Ray) Loucks of Stow and Stephen Loucks of Ames, Iowa; nine loving grandchildren; and brother, Paul (Leitsa) Becher of Dublin, Ohio.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 11 a.m. in the Grandview United Methodist Church, 2315 Phelps Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, Pastor Paula J. L. Koch will be officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Grandview United Methodist Church Music Dept.

Mr. B, as we called him, was a very dear
friend of our family (Hartley's) We spent
most of our holidays growing up, and always had a great time. Remember the Ice Cream ( Home Made) He and my Mother
and Dad were of best friends to Bob and
Betty. We were best friends to Barb. Bev and Bobby. I wish I could be there
for the memorial, but living in Arizona
I just can't make it. Paul and I remember for a wedding gift he got
us tickets to go see Ohio State. We really enjoyed the game. He was a very
special man always giving us hugs and
kisses. He was the corner stone of
Grandview. Paul and I are very sorry
for your loss. Rest in Peace with all
our friends and loved ones.

Bob, I remember when your mom passed away when we were in in 6th grade at broad st. school. I imagine this will be easier to take, but my deepest sympathies regardless.

Alice....I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Bob Becher was a big name in my parents household for forty years. Dad looked forward to his lunches with your husband long after retirement. Please accept my condolences to you and the family.You' ll be in my prayers.
