To Bob's family,
Bob worked at Seiberling with my dad,Homer Parker, and had enjoyed a great friendship since.
I know we kids went to school together.I graduated with Cheryl.
There wasn't a time in my life that I couldn't remember being greeted with his smile and getting a big, genuine hug.I affectionately called him,"Mr.Whiskers" from when I first saw his beard and thought he may have had connections to Santa!!
Bob would always visit dad and was a real source of joy for him.I know my dad considered him as a brother and loved him dearly.
Jack Park,my hubby, has great memories of Bobby too. They would never leave one another without a shared laugh and the hope to see one another soon.
Bobby was first my dad's friend but over the years became as loved by me as a dad and one of my dearest friends too.
Jack called on Bobby's birthday and left a the funloving wish of "Happy 106th,Mr.Benner!!"on Bob's answering machine, only later to have Dennis call and inform him of his death.
Having been ill myself,Jack waited until today to tell me.I just feel so badly that I wasn't able to pay my respects in person.
I'll make sure my brother Paul knows too,as he too held him in high regard.
My sincerest love and sympathy to you all.At least he's back with his beloved Shirley.
I'll always love and fondly remember my friend, Mr.Whiskers.
Rest in heavenly peace.
