Robert Burks Obituary
Robert Luther Burks ``Lump" passed away February 24, 2008.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., with Pastor Marc Neal officiating. Friends may call at the chapel on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1221 Packard Dr., Akron 44320. (SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO RHODEN MEMORIAL HOME, 330-724-1201.)

One thing that comes to mine, when I think about 'LUMP' he always had a smile on his face, I never seen him sad, and I strongly believe that he is setting somewhere in heaven, smiling as he always has, and probably holding a 'bowling ball or a pool stick' in his hands.

I meet Robert when we went to West Junior High School together he was a very special young man. He got to know my boys and they got to know him they are already missing him. They loved him like an uncle. And he will be greatly missed but he is in a much better place now. May God Bless the family and I'll keep you in my prayers.

To Ms. Gloria and Ms. Bev, my thoughts and prayers are with you, at our time of sorrow. Robert was well loved by my family and I. We grew up together and would loose touch at times, but whenever we would see each other, it was like we never skipped a beat, we remained close.
I will especially miss the laughter we shared, it seemed as though we always laughed about something. He will be missed dearly, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
