Robert E. Hart

Robert E. Hart, 86, of Sterling, died Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his residence following a period of declining health.

He was born June 5, 1931 in Sterling to the late Russell and Alice (Rich) Hart and lived most of his life in the Sterling area.

Bob graduated from Sterling High School and The College of Wooster. He was the owner and operator of Hart Insurance Agency in Wadsworth for many years. In later years he returned to his family home in Sterling where he was born and lived the rest of his days.

He also worked with his late wife, Rita, managing Hartland Party Center in Sterling.

He was a dedicated and active member of the First Mennonite Church in Wadsworth where he was the organist for more than 40 years. He also served as a Trustee and Deacon. Bob was passionate about farming in his spare time.

Surviving are daughters, Marjorie (Willian) Coger of Blowing Rock, NC, Virginia (Robert Navo) Hart of Houston, Texas, Connie Wilhelm of Wooster and Wendy Hart of Parma; grandchildren, Hamid Naader of Green, Ellie Naader of Wooster, Travis Reed of Austin, Texas and Julia Reed of Cleveland Heights; great grandchildren, Laila and Louis; sister-in-law, Pam (Clay) Johnson of Seville; niece, Heather McCurry of Wadsworth; nephew, Nathan Johnson of Clinton; great nephew, Dylan Johnson; and great niece, Teaghan McCurry.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marita "Rita" Hart; sister, Janet Hart; and aunt, Erzula McBride.

His daughters would like for his family and friends to join them in celebrating the life he lived; his generous spirit, helping others in the community, his gift of music and his love for his daughters. We are grateful that death has been conquered and he will experience eternal life in heaven.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the First Mennonite Church, 405 Trease Rd., Wadsworth, Ohio with Pastor Charles Bontrager officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 7 at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Silbilia and staff and his many caregivers for their kind and compassionate care of Bob.
