Richard Lee Lance, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
He was born on March 7, 1970, in Wooster to Roger and Patricia (Holcomb) Lance and grew up in Sterling. He was a 1988 graduate of Norwayne High School and had worked as a machinist at Seville Bronze and as an auto mechanic. Richard enjoyed wrenching on cars and riding motorcycles. He will be remembered for his willingness to always help others.
Surviving are his 3 children, Cory Lance, Brittany and her husband Shane Wasosky and Jonathan Lance; grandchildren, Caden Lance, Mark Pannell, Khloe Lance, Charlie Lance, Mason Lance and Emarosa Wasosky; his mother Patricia Lance and a brother, Christopher “Chuck” and his wife Lynn Lance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly; his father, Roger Lance and a sister, Leslie Lance.
At his request, there will be no services.
