To the Family of Bob Hite,
I was very sad to hear that Bob passed away last week. I regret to say that I did not know Bob as an adult but we were great childhood friends back in the 1950's. We were inseparable for many years and I will always cherish the memories of all the fun things "Bobby" and I did: endless hours riding our bikes together and playing in the woods and around the creek near our homes, going to the stock car races at the Rubber Bowl (from another message, it sounds like that is an interest that Bob pursued to the end) and many other things. One year I remember helping Bobby build a car that he raced in the local Soap Box Derby. He didn't win much but it was a great experience for us both.
Bob and I went our separate ways when he and his family moved out of my neighborhood and I later moved to California but I will always think of Bobby as the best friend I ever had. I am sure he grew up to be a good husband and father and I hope that he had a good life even though it was way too short. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss.

Bob,
We had gone in different ways over the past year, but you were always more like a friend to me than a Step-father. I will miss you.

Dear Betsy and family,
So sorry to hear of Bob's passing this week. It is hard to let go of a loved one and especially a husband or father or close relative. Hopefully Bob will be at peace now and not have to suffer and hurt as he has for years with his pain in his body. Betsy and family just hope you can each take one day at a time and lean heavily upon our Lord and Savior. May God Bless each of you and give you strength and comfort. If we can do anything to help you let us know. Love Darrell and Barbara

Dear Bob, I don't know where to begin. I can't believe you are gone. You were such a great guy and such fun to be around. I will always remember our good times together and things won't be the same around here without you. You are no longer in pain my friend and may you rest in peace. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. I am sure you are watching Nascar on the bigscreen and having the time of your life up there!! Save a place for me and the gang! I will bring the beer! God love ya Bob.
