Red said that there must have been A strong force that pulled us together, after meeting Jennett and Fred at a bookstore in Alabama.
We had crossed paths many time while living in the falls, but really got to know him as A friend in Mississippi and Alabama. Everytime We saw him, he said I made Him laugh. Red was a brave man. We were so happy to get to know him and lend a helping hand in his time of need. May God bless all of his family and friends in their time of morning. Brian and Kim Bennett, in Alabama.

Bobby my dear cousin whom I thought was so unique and strong. When he walked into a room or the family reunion you had to stop and notice. He always noticed you and made you feel so special even when he was sick. He sent me birthday cards and always stopped to talk and show he cared. This was rare in this busy world and now how I wish I would have shared more and cared more. The Lord is always teaching us through beautiful people like Bobby. I am very thankful that he is my cousin and that I had the priviledge of knowing him and his wonderful brothers and sisters. I credit his great personality to his dear father and mother - Bus and Monica Whitmyer. Wow, I love you all

I only met Red once, but once was enough. I was attending a dance convention with my son, who has multiple disabilities. When Jason introduced us to Red, he and Josh connected spirit to spirit; I could see Red's soul shine through that day. I truly believe that those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time. Later, Red.

Red was a nice, gentle, kind man, whom I've known for many years and never could remember how we ever met. He always asked me "How's your sister", but who he meant was my Aunt Karen, whom he attended school with. He would ask me everytime I ran into him somewhere and we would laugh. He knew I was related to Karen, just always thought she was my sister because we were close of age.
To Dick Jenkins: Sorry for your loss, your brother was a really nice guy.

THE FIRST TIME I MET RED WAS AT DUNKIN DONUTS IN THE EARLY 70'S. I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT "LUMBER JACK" IMAGE. HE WALKED THRU THE DOOR PROUD AND TALL WEARING A KNIT CAP, RED CHECKERED FLANNEL SHIRT, JEANS AND WORK BOOTS. HE MADE A BIG IMPRESSION ON ME, BOTH AS A MAN AND AS A FRIEND. THERE WERE MANY MORE TIMES WE WOULD SEE EACH OTHER THRU THE YEARS. EACH TIME HE WOULD TREAT ME LIKE HIS BEST FRIEND. THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM WAS A COUPLE MONTHS AGO AT HANDELS ICE CREAM, DISPITE ALL HE HAD BEEN THRU HE WAS STILL STANDING TALL AND PROUD ENJOYING HIS FAVORITE ICE CREAM. RED, WE SURE WILL MISS YOU. EVERYONE THAT KNEW HIM IS A BETTER PERSON FOR IT. IT'S NOW HEAVENS TURN TO ENJOY A GREAT MAN.

Ive known Red ever since I can remember. WE both grew up in the same neighborhood. I attended Catholic schools for ten years, then transfered to Falls in my Junior year.
Even though i had 10 years of religious education, I had to start going to CCD at St Joe's.
When I walked into the classroom, I was suprised to see Red there. I figured that Red and I would laugh and joke and mess with the teacher.
What I saw was a part of Red that I had never seen before or imagined.
Red was very religous and spiritual. We had many amazing discussions.
I haven't seen Red for a few years, but from the messages left by his many friends, I can see he continued to grow as a man of faith, and a true definition of a Christian.
Pray for us-Red.

to all the friends and I mean great friends who gave us support during Reds illness. when I think of all the love that surrounded him, it is overwelming. one day he told me that he was so sick, but felt so good he couldn't believe he felt like that. He often told me he was ok. he didn't do this alone. It oftenseemed like we were encased with love. I will always feel blessed to have met so many of his friends. the money that so many gave helped so much. My gratitude is off the charts. so many had a part in his passing. my love goes out to everyone.

I met RED at Lujans many years ago. And through the years when we would meet we would talk about a multitude of things and he was always friendly and entertaining. He always told me if I needed help he would be there. It is such a shame that a young man with so much to give to others has to pass at such a young age, but the Lord must need his help and Red will be there. God Bless Red and his family. He will be missed.

I knew "Red" through my father Greg Thompson who worked with him at USF for quite sometime. I also knew him through Dr. McCluskey's office where I work. He was a very, very nice man and was always smiling. Just seeing that smile would generate so many around the room. I was very sad to hear of his passing and wanted to express my deepest sympathy to his entire family. God Bless.

I give my deepest sympathy and my prayers to the family and close friends, Red was truly one of a kind, I've known him for quit some time, and he was just like a father to me, great advice and a ear to listen no matter what he was going through himself, he always put other's needs before his own, we had some of our best talks over a cup of coffee..He's the only one I know, that could put a smile on your face and joy in your heart no matter what, and for that, I will always be grateful...I hope one day I can be half the person he was...the memories of him will never be forgotten...with love and respect

"Red" was such a kind person. I hadn't seen him for almost 15 years but just happened to bump into him one day. He was the same "Red"... a down-to-earth, smiling, gentle man. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I know he will be missed by each and every one of you. He had so many friends and treated them all with respect. I know that many in the Falls will miss him and his huge smile.

THERE'S A PARTY GOIN ON IN HEAVEN!!
I'm having a very difficult time understanding why the "GOOD LORD" is taking so many of the good guys from Cuyahoga Falls so young...
RED JENKINS was one of the good guys! When my brother Tom passed away at a very young age, Red shook my hand at the funeral home and said "I'm your big brother now." As I read these condolences, I see he was Big Brother and Father to many. He was a great guy and will be terribly missed. He was a legend in his own time, known thru out the land. A greater man has never lived.
May you rest in peace Red Jenkins. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences go to your family.

Red was one of those people that left an impact on everyone he met. I mean, he had a really strong handshake!! He would crush your hand if you weren't careful.

Although, I was never technically part of the family, Red ALWAYS treated me as though I was. And that has meant a lot to me over the years.

His smile and laugh will be missed, but never forgotten.

To my "brother" and the best friend I ever had, I'm really going to miss you, but I know I will see you again one day. Thru the years of working together, our friendship was truly one of a kind, just like Red, he was a very special guy and a honest, true, and loyal friend. He took the meaning of friendship to a deeper level, it was more of a brother type relationship. His laughter always brought a smile to everyone around him, he just had that presence. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Red's family and friends at this difficult time. Just knowing Red was loved by so many, might be of some comfort to us all. He will be deeply missed and his memory will live strong in our hearts forever! Thanks for the years of friendship and memories, you have touched my life in so many ways... I love you brother.

Red Jenkins was not just a friend, he was a father. A father not only to his children, but to many of his childrens friends, like me and many many more. The list of men and women that he in some way fathered, inspired and mentored is way to long. All the memories will never be forgot by everyone who knows Red Jenkins which is probably a third of the world. You could be in Africa with Red and he would find someone he knew, either that person or some relative of that person. Red I love you like a father(you know that). I will miss and love you forever. My deepest thoughts go out to my brothers for life, Danny and David.

love always,

I have known "Red" for over 40 some years and Red Jenkins was one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He had a heart of gold, a big smile and would help anyone. He had a ruff, tuff exterior, but was pure putty inside. He loved women and always treated them with respect and tenderness. My deepest condolences to his family, you have truely lost a very special man. He will be very sadly missed. Our prayers are with you all at this time. I'm sure he is up there "riding" and smiling down on us all right now!!

This man was a gentleman,cut-up,a character and, if he called you his friend, which he had many, it was for life and an honor, in most cases. He feared no man and treated women with due respect. If you didn't like Red... It was your problem and loss.
God's speed to you, brother. You'll be riding year round now.
