Robert Peet Obituary

Robert H. Peet

Together Again

It is with great sadness, love, honor and respect that we announce the passing of Robert H. Peet. Robert, age 86, passed away peacefully March 2nd with family present. He was born to Joseph Robert Peet and Casilda Gimeno de Peet in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He was educated in the British schools and traveled by ship to Loughborough, England, to be near family, where he studied to become an Engineer. He returned to Argentina and met the love of his life, Joan Arlington, from Montevideo, Uruguay, who was his true soul mate until her passing in 2013. Robert lived in Colombia and Uruguay, developing factories, before immigrating with Joan and their children to North Canton, Ohio in 1970, where he was asked to work for the Hoover Company, and from where he later retired. He traveled extensively as Chief Engineer of Latin America for the Hoover Company, to 24 different countries, developing and improving factories, and befriending countless colleagues worldwide.

His greatest love, however, was for his wife, children and grandchildren. Children are, Robert T. Peet, deceased 2006 (beloved wife Karen Hill-Peet), Stephanie Peet-Teodosio (husband Alex Teodosio), and Richard Peet (wife Sue Witkowski-Peet); grandchildren are, Robert C. and Caitlin Peet ( of Columbus, Ohio), Nicholas and Joseph Teodosio ( of Hudson, Ohio), and Johnathon and Lauren Peet (of Cranberry Twp., Pa).

Robert enjoyed annual family vacations to England, Disney and Hilton Head. He also enjoyed playing tennis and helping his son, Robert with car racing. Today, he rejoices in reuniting with God, his parents, wife and son, Robert Trevor in heaven, where he will continue to quietly love and support us.

Robert has graciously donated his body to NEOCOM for the advancement of medicine, as per his wishes. He had requested no memorials or services.

We wish to thank the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospice Center for providing great care to him during his final days with us.

Rest in joy and peace Dad/Grandpa.
