Robert Sams Obituary
Robert F. Sams, III (Mann) passed away suddenly on October 7, 2015.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio and attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from Akron East High School. Robert was employed for over 20 years in the Akron community, last working at Frontier Cable. Robert was a dedicated Father, Uncle, Husband, Son and Grandson. He was passionate about music, singing, and Michigan College football. More than anything, Robert loved time spent with his children. Robert was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Akron Central Congregation. He will be deeply missed by many dedicated family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Delois Sams and Andre Martin-Sams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Wife, Kendra Sams; children, Robert F. Sams IV, Shania Sams, Dion Sams, Kiara Sams of Atlanta, Georgia; Father, Robert F. Sams, Jr.; Mother, Rose L. Sams; Sister, Lachelle Bryant; Brother, Dion (Takiesha) Sams; Grandparents, Robert F. Sams, Sr., Preston and Margie Lewis, all of Akron, Ohio; Stepchildren, Montezshea Manley and Brelynd Manley.
Robert will be sadly missed by hosts of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, family and special friends.
Service will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 12 noon at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, Ohio, 44307. Friends may visit at the chapel from 11 a.m. until time of service, Pastor Stephan Harris eulogizing. Interment at Glendale Cemetery.

How I Miss my Dear Son. I long for the day when I can embrace him again. The part of me he left is so deep and so wide it cant be measured. As I await the Kingdom of God and the resurrection I can only pray for the strength to endure till it comes. I know I will see him there. Until then my Love will never cease and for our family who misses him too I pray for peace.

My deepest condolences. We have worked with each other over time and I would randomly call you to talk about the old cable days and catch up. Wow, it saddens me to know that you are not here. Sams Family are in my thoughts and prayers and I express my deepest sympathy.
I'am still in shock over Robert's passing. I know he is in heaven telling his best jokes, making everyone smile ,which he was a master at doing, and singing one of his beautiful songs. I will forever miss his friendship, laughter , listing ear and kind spirit.
