Hall Fletcher Sams Jr.

Hall Fletcher Sams, Jr., affectionately known as "Buddy Love", was born on March 19, 1964, in Asheville, NC, to Hall and Mary Sams. He attended Asheville City Schools and graduated from Asheville High School in the class of 1982. Hall furthered his education at Blantons Jr. College.

Hall was a dedicated worker, spending over 15 years at Biltmore Iron and Metal. He was known for his caring nature and willingness to help anyone in need, even if it meant going out of his way. Hall had a quiet spirit but could also be the life of the party. He found solace in listening to gospel music and reading the Bible, which he knew very well.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tim and Martha Copeland, his paternal grandmother, Margaret Sams, his son, Kavon Clayton, and his grandson, K'Son Clayton.

Hall is survived by his loving parents, Hall and Mary Sams; his sisters, April Sams Talford and Veronica Sams Whiteside; his brothers, Darrell Sams, Elliott Sams, and Eric Sams; his son, Darren Clayton; his grandchildren, Daryiana, Dhakiren, Ky'taveyon, Ky'Mariana, and Ky'Vontay; the mother of his children, Vanessa Clayton; and his special friend, Rebecca Connelly. Hall's memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
