Roger Alcorn Obituary

Roger Alcorn Roger Alcorn, 73, passed away at his residence on October 7, 2011. Roger was a life resident of the Akron area and was a chemical engineer in the polymer industry. He was a member of The Chapel, the Green AARP and the Green Lions Club for 26 years. He was an active volunteer for the Soap Box Derby and the Firestone Golf Tournaments. Roger is survived by wife, Betty J; son, Thomas (Cynthia); daughters, Lynda (Michael) Barath and Amy (Thomas) Fulton; brothers, Gene (Brenda) and Arnold (Laura) Alcorn; sister, Carolyn Hart; grandchildren, Alyssa and Shawn Barath, Katrina, Denise and Jaime Alcorn, Lucas and Taylor Fulton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at The Chapel Green Campus, 1800 Raber Rd., Uniontown, OH 44685. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619). Interment will be at East Liberty Cemetery.
