Ronald F. McVaney

Ronald F. McVaney, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the age of 82. Ron was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Lorenza and Vivien McVaney. He lived most of his life in Barberton and was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 31 years of service. He also worked through the years for Caines Flowers, Lamborns Floral, Cleveland Plant & Flower, Jones Chemical, Nichols Cleaners and Merket Patrol. Ron also played drums in a Polka band and "loved coney dogs". He is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Tony) Hrepcak and granddaughter, JoAnna Hrepcak. Ron's funeral service will be held Saturday, June 26th at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Rev. Warren Lowery officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Private burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
