Samuel Greer Obituary
Samuel L. Greer, 75, of Akron, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014. He was born on May 1, 1939 in Shreveport, La. to the late Samuel and Willie Greer.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Samuel loved to watch football and was a huge Ohio State Fan.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his, brothers, Leroy Greer and Marvin Greer; sister, Doris Franzmann. Samuel is survived by his children, Beth Greer, Chad Greer, Lee (Carrie) Greer and Hayleigh Greer; two grandsons, Nicklaus Bamer and Ethan Greer; sisters, Inez Sik and Tammy (Jim) Thornton; sister-in-law, Mary Greer; and many nieces and nephews; beloved friends, Donna Lee, Josh Lee, and Ryan Bennett.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. In honoring his wishes cremation will take place after services.
