My husband, son, and I only knew Scotty for a short time last summer. We lived in the same apartment complex and he entertained our 2-year-old son, PJ along with our neighbor's 2-year-old son, and he enjoyed the boys very much. He would always have candy and goodies for the children, and he always looked out for them. My husband and neighbor also had great times playing football with Scotty's sons while they were visiting. We were very shocked to hear of his passing and we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family. Scotty was a great man and I'm sure he will be missed by many.

I first met you with your chubby little cheeks, when your family moved next door to me many years ago.
You were a delightful little boy, and you turned into a charming young man. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you.
The angels are lucky to have you among them. But God only excepts the best.

I read about Scott in today's paper.
I moved to Ohio in 1994 and Scott was my very first co-worker at Oriana House. I can't say enough good things about him and all my fond memories of him.
We had a great time at a job that you usually don't have much fun working. Scott made it that way, he was a leader and always had the respect of the boys we watched. He earned respect by who he was, and always treated everyone fairly. I have several stories about Scott that I have shared with others over these past 8 years... Scott will always be a part of my life and I will continue to share his memory with others that I meet.
I will remember his smile and how good it was to hear him laugh. As I type this, I cry for his family who cannot see him every day and I cry for myself for having lost contact with such a wonderful man.
I wish his family the best and share the tears of all who knew him.

To the family of Caldwell Sr. Johnny was a very close friend of mines for 15 years or better. We both talked on the CB together and he set up all of my CB equipment for me. His passing has stunned me although I knew he was sick. God will never put more on us then we can bear and so I pray that you find comfort in knowing that "Johnny Paycheck" touch a great deal of people worldwide. What a blessing he was. As he rest 10-7, my soul will mourn. May God Bless you all. Peaches stay strong my sister. His friend "Lovergirl".

I was very stunned to learn that Scottie has passed. We graduated together from Akron South High. He had been a long t ime acquaintance of my family. My heart goes out to his family and children. I can honestly say that when I ran into Scottie he always had a smile on his face and some happy remarks. He was previously employed at Fred Martin. I ran into him when I was purchasing a car. He told the salesman I was family and made sure I got a "decent" deal. He kept stopping by while I was talking to the salesman to make sure they were treating me right. I will pray for his family and sons. Love the Smith Family.

We remember "Uncle Scotch". He always made us laugh. Even in these past few months when he was down he still had it in him to do or say something funny. We will never forget him. May the Lord bless the family in this time of need. He will always be in our hearts.
