Sean Branch Obituary

Sean John Branch, age 40, of Ravenna, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

He was born May 27, 1970, in Hadleigh, England, a son of Christopher and Seval (Mehmed) Branch. Sean was raised in England and moved to the United States in 1996. He married his beloved wife Shelly Thomas on April 26, 2000.

Sean was a veteran of the British Army, actively serving in the 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment in Bosnia, Kenya, and Northern Ireland. He was a truck driver and currently employed at Tarpco in Kent and also worked at Tri-County in Brimfield. Sean enjoyed fishing and golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Shelly (Thomas) Branch; his parents, Christopher and Seval Branch; sister, Mandy (Les) Goodwin; brothers, Symon (Gemma) Branch, Anthony ``Todge' (Paula) Branch, Colin (Cari) Branch; he is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, David and Stella Thomas; brothers-in-law, Kevin Thomas, Scott (Jennifer) Thomas, Patrick Thomas; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Beatrice (Richardson) Branch and Namik and Dorothy (Baker) Mehmed; as well as his dog, Bear.

Friends will be received Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. After cremation, he will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
