My Dearest Aunt (Shirleen)
Let me begin by saying you will DEFINITELY BE MISSED. You were the most coolest Aunt a Niece could have. Everyone can say you were a COOL MOM, AUNT, FRIEND, GRANDMOTHER, SISTER, DAUGHTER, etc. You knew how to liven up a party when you walked into a room, You fought a hard battle....VERY STRONG WOMANL! I am glad that I came over to see you that day I did because it proved to be the last time I would be able to sit with you & talk with you. I know you're comfortable now, and I hope to see you again when that time comes for EVERYONE!

Isiah 25:8

``He will actually swallow up death forever, and the SOVEREIGN LORD JEHOVAH will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for JEHOVAH himself has spoken it.''

To ALL MY COUSINS..Jim, Timmy, Keba, Sunny & Cash, as well as her dear Mother Mimi (Mildred), dear Father Hicks and dear Sister Nancy (my Mom)and the rest of our Family, let's embrace one another during this difficult time as FAMILY! Luv you Shirleen...R.I.P.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

To the Moore Family,
Words cannot express the sadness I know you are experiencing right now, because its hard to lose a parent. But God knows All and God heals All..It will take time because she was the Rock in every since of the word. I remember my first real job was working with Ms Shirleen at Firestone, I told Lisa about it and she was like that's Timmy's mom, but I already knew because her and my Dad(Boomer) were friends which got me there in the first place. What a circle of friendship...She was truly a beautiful person inside and out. Stay Encouraged and lean on each other for comfort and let the Lord bring you peace.
We pray your strength in the coming days ahead. Love you all always...

Dear Moore & Ewing Family,

We are deeply sadden by the loss of your beautful, spirited mother, sister and aunt. She will be truly missed by the Puryear family and all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Although her time on earth was not long enough, the impression that she left and impact that she made will be felt by us for years to come.

Often times she spoke of her "kids", "nieces" and of course her grandkids that could do no wrong. It was clear that she loved you all and that each of you had a special place in her heart.

May your fond memories of her love bind you together and make you a comfort to one another during this difficult time.

This is so hard to write. I don't even know where to start! Shirleen and I came a long way together -she was like my sister. We laughed and cried together. She gave me my my wedding dress when I married Charles because it happened so quickly and I did not have anything to wear (that's the type of person she was). She loved her family very much. I'll never forget that talent show at South High School when she was pushed out on the stage - she could sing, dance, and dress. Some of the funniest times where at South in Mr. Thomas-Moore's and Ms. Hetzels class (of course she was the smartest in the class). I wish I could come home but I am a little sick myself but trust me - I will never forget her and I am so glad she was a part of my life. May she rest in peace. God Bless to the family! My sister, Linda, also sends her condolences.

Take flight and spread your wings
The Queen must now go join our King
The tears we shed, the cries we weep
The emotions that we feel so deep

Gone so soon, the memories stay
No longer will your flight delay
Soaring high with grace and style
"Sunny Dayes" hold your smile

Your time too short here in this world
But now your wings become unfurled
Spread them wide to fly above
Sprinkle down your drops of love

For you we all must really try
To keep our tears, and dry our eyes
Celebrate your life, hold heads high
Remember to “throw down and get live”

Journey complete, end of quest
With God you will peacefully rest
Looking down with joy and bliss
Auntie Shirleen you will be missed

I love you and God bless our family!

To the Moore family & Loved ones,
You all are grieving a huge loss of your beautful mother Shirleen, this is not a swift process, nor is it a steady progression.Even though after a good week,a good laugh,a theological insight,or a renewal of hope, You start to weep again.I know this part of getting through a major life change, but its going to be okay . I'm so sorry for your loss Baby Girl. Although I didn't know your Mom personally, I do know it is a blessing to have had an opportunity to be in the presence and nutured by such a loving soul. I am a firm believer that she has not left you, she will remain with you spiritually and continue to nuture you and your siblings with the time that you are here on earth. You'll meet again...Love you girl..

"To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every
morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

"It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

I need you here badly, you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do,
and foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you... in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years,
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too....
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night... "My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented.... that my life has been worthwhile, Knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in you footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.... you're coming here to me.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God[; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
John 14:1-4

For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.
Lamentations 3:31-33

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

GET'N LIVE THROW'N DOWN ?.....it just doesnt seem fair does it?....to have someone so full of life be taking from us so soon, but in my heart of hearts I know that our God does not make mistakes and He only takes the best to lead His Army, and my Auntie was definitely a solider. Im gonna miss her but Im happier knowing that I have someone so strong watching over us all now. I miss her so <3...and will continue to pray for our family.
