Shirley was not only my school bus driver, she was also my Girl Scout leader. I remember a wonderful trip we took to Washington D.C. back in the early 1970's. I even have a picture of her hamming for the camera. She was always smiling and upbeat, which is one reason so many of us remember her. So long, Shirley. What a gal!!

Noreen and Family:
I just wanted to write you and let you know how sorry I am for your loss. Each time I met shirley she was so sweet, motherly and loving. Although a little forgetful at times. Ha ha! She was an expert at making people feel like they are were a part of your family. I will never forget being at her house with you and your sister and feeling like I was a home. My heart goes out to you at this time. I am thinking of you daily and love you very much.

My condolences to Shirley's family. Of all the beings I met during my high school years, she left a most lasting impression.
She had two favorite sayings while driving our Norton high school bus ... "If you can't find 'em, grind 'em" and "They've got brakes ... let them use 'em".
I don't remember ever being late for classes (damn it!) even in the worst snow storms. If she had to drive down the wrong lane of 31st Street, time the light at Johnson's corner, and slide through the light as it turned green, she would get us there on time.
Goodbye to a teacher, philosopher, and friend.

Dear Noreen & family,
I used to bowl with your mom years ago. What wonderful memories those were. Our team was called "The Assorted Nuts"!
I will always remember your mom's spunk and wonderful laugh and smile.
I lost my own dear mom in Dec. and it is a tremendous loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you!

My deepest sympathies to Terry, Lou and Noreen. I was were you are at almost 13 years ago when my Mom passed some what suddenly. Your Mom was my very favorite Aunt, as I believe my Mom was your favorite Aunt. Shirley and Carrolle were very close and I'm thankful for their relationship. I have so many wonderful memories from all the time spent at your house as a child. I will cherish those memories. It is my hopes that Carrolle is showing Shirley around heaven as they have much to catch up on. My Aunt Shirley will no longer have pain or confussion. She is at peace now, in a better place. Know that I love you all and I'm here if there is anything I can ever do.
