TALLMADGE Virginia H. Bare (nee Welch) was gently called home on June 27, 2005, after a long illness.
Mrs. Bare was born in Akron, Ohio, and lived in Tallmadge from 1952 until 2002. She was affiliated with the Goodyear Heights Methodist Church. Mrs. Bare retired from Akron General Medical Center after 21 years of service in the coronary care unit.
An avid homemaker, garden er, and award-winning floral ar ranger, Mrs. Bare was past president of the Tallmadge Garden Club. Mom was a former Girl Scout leader and Methodist Youth Fellowship director. Re membered at AGMC for her "Baby Board" of pictures of employees' newborns and infant children, she became affectionately known as "mom" to all. A resident of St. Edward's, Mom was known and loved by all her caregivers and fellow residents. Special thanks from the family to Mary Holyfield-Brown of St. Edward's, who cared for our Mother as if she were her own, and Sister Beatrice for her love and spiritu al care.
Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Rudd Jud son Bare, and granddaughters, Jessica and Molly Sue Bare, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debarah and Edward Kershaw of Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Rudd Judson II (Ted) and Linda Bare of Bath, Britt and Karen Bare of New Mexico, William (Bill) and Georgiann Bare of Green; grandchildren, Matthew Kershaw, Courtney Battles (Ker shaw), Rudd Judson III (Sonny), Betsy Lee Bare Hartschuh, Joshua, Jacob, Jonas, and Jason Bare; great-grandchil dren, Tyler, Madeline, John, Chloe, and Brianna.
Mom will be missed by all who enjoyed her sweet disposi tion, love of children, pets, beautiful flowers, warm hugs, and great conversations.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Donovan-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 SOUTH WEST AVE., Tallmadge, Ohio, with Rev. Mark Frey officiating. Burial at Tallmadge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. TODAY. For those desiring, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Village at St. Edward.
