Wayne W. Cocrane, 61 years, of Barberton, died December 9, 2008.
A life resident of the area, Wayne retired from B&W in 1996 after 25 years service. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of Firestone Post #3383 VFW.
Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruby and his dog, Sadie, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda; sons, Brain (Melissa) of Uniontown, Jason (Chrissy) of Woodstock, Ill.; grandchildren, Alexandra, Grace, Austin, and Miranda; father, James of Green; brothers, Ronald of Portage Lakes, Dale of Akron; sisters, Chris Durliat of Hartville, Kathy Hafner of Uniontown, Kelly Gosnell of Washington, Pa.; and his best friend, Steve, Joan and Matt Trent.
Friends may call TODAY, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd., with funeral services at 2 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rev. Mike Prebynski officiating. For those that wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Summit County, 1889 Indian Hills Tr., Akron, 44313.
