William O''Brien Obituary
Born in Barberton, Ohio, Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and giving them Tootsie Rolls, ice cream and cookies. He served in The U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from B&W after 43 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Elizabeth O'Brien; sister, Amelia Rohr; and grandson, Caleb O'Brien; he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia; sons, Bill (Michelle), Dave (Roxann), Tom (Shirley), Joe (Debbie), Paul (Lori), Richard (Amy) and Don (Carol); daughters, Mary Ann Walter (Leo), Karen Marshall (Scott), Patty Walsh, Ann Presley (Dave) and Katie Helkamp (Brian); 38 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Rohr, Cecelia O'Brien and Martha McCuen; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn 44333. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent Catholic Church. Interment 11:30 a.m. TUESDAY at Western Reserve National Cemetery. PROCESSION WILL FORM AT 10:45 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME. Memorial may be made to Tuition Assistance Fund, St. Vincent Church, 164 W. Market Street, Akron 44303 or VNS Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Copley 44333.

My sincere condolences to the families of Bill O'Brien. I have fond memories of the times I spent at his parents' home. Although I didn't have a lot of interaction with Bill, I did with his sisters and Herold cousins. May the families find comfort in God's love.

Family, I share my condolences on the passing of your husband/father/grandfather. I grew up "catty-cornered" from your family while you lived on the corner of Parkview and Summit. May God bless you all during this time of sorrow.
